After high school, I served two years in the Navy and then spent a summer doing some hiking on the Appalachian trail before attending St. Mary's College of Maryland. When I graduated, I traveled around Europe and Morocco, taught English in Korea for a year, and then went to graduate school at North Carolina State University. I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics in May of 2016 and then spent three years in Columbus, OH, first as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Mathematical Biosciences Institute and then as a data scientist. Since the fall of 2019, I have been an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at The College of Wooster. In my spare time I enjoy playing soccer, running, being outdoors, and hanging out with my wife and cats.
